Exclusive: Sony Ericsson to introduce Android 3.0 gaming platform and PSP Go-like smartphone (Engadget)

Aug 11th 2010 6:42PM Could this have anything to do with that Google mobile announcement tomorrow?

HTC Wildfire escapes from Yellow Mountain riding Android 2.1 (update: official) (Engadget)

May 17th 2010 7:31AM Why the 528 processor? Isn't that the same chip that's in the G1? WHy bother releasing a brand new phone with a 2+ year-old CPU?

Farewell to Facebook, at least for now (Download Squad)

May 14th 2010 7:20AM There WERE privacy issues with Buzz originally, but Google seriously bent over backwards to fix them as quickly as possible. They even posted an apology on their blog. Sure it made headlines, but compare their response to Facebook's. Another reason I trust Google way more than FB.

HTC EVO 4G found loitering in Sprint store (Engadget)

May 1st 2010 7:38PM @jtechinc Me too, and I was thinking the same thing. Though, the presence of the Evo here would be odd, since only Miami is on Sprint's 4G list, and it's not even up and running yet. No 4G even "coming soon" for Central Florida. :-(

LG Ally to say 'aloha' to Verizon in mid-May? (Engadget)

Apr 30th 2010 8:49PM @mpv Amen. T-Mobile was the Android trend-setter and now Verizon is swooping in and getting all of the coolest phones. :-(

Will Twitter's twt.tl URL shortener kneecap competitors? (Download Squad)

Mar 18th 2010 8:09AM For anyone using Chrome, I highly recommend the Explode extension. It invisibly translates short URLs and displays the full version in the lower left. It works so seamlessly that you barely even know it's there. I really like it.

Engadget's 6th birthday giveaway: 'Gadget of the Year' edition (Engadget)

Mar 6th 2010 8:45AM This would make a most excellent replacement for my G1.

Tag: Microsoft's first Android app is it (Engadget)

Mar 4th 2010 9:39AM @barry99705 I've seen them a few places. Next time you're in Walmart or Target, look for large displays of Microsoft video games. When Halo Wars launched, the cardboard displays in stores had these Tags on them.
