Someone here that actually has experience walking around with no vision. (Not blind myself but hundreds of hours under blindfold.) Electric driven cars and slow speeds don't really have enough road noise to pinpoint where they are in relation to you. Also if a car on the road does not make noise while idling, it can be hard to tell what's going on in an intersection.
