International Kindle users: change your country to avoid additional fees (Download Squad)

Sep 7th 2010 2:59AM This is nothing new. I've had my kindle for almost a year and I live in Hong Kong. I do have a credit card with a US billing address. A year ago when the US Kindle cost less than the int'l one, I bought a US one, had it shipped to a US address and then shipped to me. I registered it online with a US address and credit card and never had a problem. A year ago when I checked there were roughly 20-25% more titles available for US Kindle owners than international ones, as well as the $2 price difference which is complete nonsense if one only transfers books via wifi.

Trailer Park: Knights, Warlords and Repo Cops (Cinematical)

Dec 27th 2009 3:55AM Warlords is from 2007, played in HK to mostly meh reviews but I thought it was quite okay.

What You Missed Last Night: Jon Stewart vs. Gretchen Carlson (AOL TV)

Dec 10th 2009 1:12PM Since Hulu videos can't be streamed internationally and Daily Show clips are also on Comedy Channel's web site, which CAN be streamed outside the US, wouldn't it be nice if you linked there instead? Yes, it would.

Interview: Judd Apatow (Part One) (Cinematical)

Nov 21st 2009 12:02AM Most of Apatow's films revolve around the same theme - the boy-man forced to mature - and Funny People is no different. At least the first half of the film offered some pleasures from insights into the life of stand-up comedians. Some day it might be nice if he would finish that film.

Who got the horns in the battle of Stewart v. Cramer? - VIDEO (AOL TV)

Mar 14th 2009 1:06AM #1 - One of Stewart's main complaints is that Cramer and CNBC have accepted what they were told at face value and did no investigative reporting to get to the facts. The CEOs lied to them, they accepted those lies and reported them.

#2 - The newspapers and other media outlets reporting on the Stewart/Cramer thing have to come down against Stewart because if they agree with him, then they also have to own up to the charge that the information on this meltdown was there, that they missed it or chose not to report it, and that they are just as culpable in all of this as CNBC.

Readers Sound-Off: Best mobile web solution (Download Squad)

Nov 12th 2006 10:27AM I had the Nokia E61 and have to say that the browser on that was the best I'd ever encountered on a small screen. In terms of how it would display standard web pages and the ease of navigation, it was terrific.

I especially miss it since moving to the Treo 750v. Internet Explorer on Windows Mobile 5 makes me feel like I've taken a giant step backward. Perhaps it works better on a smartphone with a larger screen, but on 240x240 it's beastly.

Downloading Opera right now and hoping it's better ....
