The Daily Grind: What's the fastest you've ever burned out on an MMO? (Massively)

Dec 29th 2011 1:18PM @mrmojoz Rofl, there's clearly less content in SWTOR than most other MMO's. Most people agree.

Dec 25th 2011 11:37PM Thanks. I appreciate your article. =]

The Daily Grind: Which MMOs would you marry, kiss or kill? (Massively)

Dec 21st 2011 11:08AM Marry: EVE Online
Kiss: Rift, I suppose.. although I quit recently because it's too easy.

Dec 17th 2011 2:17PM I don't have anything left in life really, been a majorly shitty year. One of the few escapes I have, MMO's, I can't currently afford. Victim of circumstances month after month. Could use the year ending on a good note. I'd play a healer, start my own guild, and help anyone who needed it. I'd have to repay the world if I won after all. =]

Dec 15th 2011 2:27AM I guess I'll probably end up playing both some.. but man I miss necromancer. =(

The Daily Grind: Do you think MMOs should be harder? (Massively)

Dec 5th 2011 3:03PM I like a challenge, which is why I just started playing EVE. It's amazing so far.

I played a lot of others, but the dumbing down was just getting ridiculous. "Simple tooltips" in WoW by default meant the removal of numbers from ability tooltips. Spells do "a little" damage, "moderate" or "A lot"?! I know it's an option you can turn off but fucking insane.

Really liked Rift but you just zoom through and hit 50 in a week or two. Playing 3 days I was level 30 and didn't do NEARLY as many quests in the zones, warfronts, or dungeons as I would have liked. To much experience from everything.

Maybe it's just me. I just miss challenge. This game though, this has been a good challenge. Really enjoying EVE: Crucible.

The Tattered Notebook: What's free and what's not? (Massively)

Dec 3rd 2011 4:40PM @Naihonn Not the type of Spells. In EQ2 there is like Apprentice, Novice, Expert and Master. (I think I named those right, I haven't played EQ2 in about a year and a half.. for GOOD reason)

Free I think doesn't let you train them to Master.

But regardless of this, the rest of the game is terribly broken anyways, just clarifying. =P

Prepare to be psychologically overburdened by Skyrim's fully detailed locations map (Joystiq)

I tried this game too, and got extremely frustrated by it's insane lack of completion. Obscenely short "mages guild". And the bugs that had riddled it with holes.

If I want to change my right hand spell on the PC version, you have to equip a 1H weapon, unequip the 1H weapon, then exit the menu, go back into it, and then you can equip a right hand spell. Can't just go from one spell to the other.

It's a terrible abysmal console port, the menu is about destroyed. Some things only respond to arrows, some to the mouse, others to only the scroll wheel. The character creation alone about made me uninstall it.

I also love how many quests are broken. Real fun.

Morrowind was amazing. Oblivion was a decline. Skyrim is a clusterf*ck of bad programming. Bethesda has become absolutely lazy.

There was finally a PC patch, and "Oh yay! Bugfixes!" I think to myself. No, no. It simply disabled hi-rez graphics, added an extra layer of DRM, and made it so the game no longer recognizes more than 2GB of RAM. So I just have 14GB sitting there unused. I built a gaming computer for a reason.
