iPod bedding set redefines 'touchably soft' (TUAW.com)
Dec 30th 2009 9:34PM Since I can't delete it, please ignore the above bizarre phantom comment that wasn't meant for this post.
What I meant to say here was... is it wrong that I want this to be offered in a Queen sized version?

Turn off Airplane Mode before updating your iPhone firmware (TUAW.com)
Jan 31st 2009 2:06PM I keep Airplane Mode enabled on my 3G most of the day (I don't use the iPhone as my primary phone) and did the firmware update the other day, with Airplane Mode still engaged. I encountered no errors or problems during - or since.

InstantShot! - Menubar Screenshots (TUAW.com)
Jan 22nd 2007 11:12AM Glenn - I don't actively follow digg (i'm not a fan of the site in general) and I don't subscribe to your RSS feed or read your site regularly unless someone happens to send in a tip or you're linked from somewhere else. Yet I saw InstantShot on both MacUpdate and VersionTracker RSS feeds yesterday and if Matt hadn't posted about it, I might have mentioned it myself today. I suspect you found the app via one of those software tracking sites as well. I don't know about you, but I track almost 600 feeds these days so the number of sites I might discover something I want to post about is pretty significant and there's bound to be some overlap. Accusing someone of lying or being unethical when you just happened to post about before we did an application that's on both major Mac software trackers and certainly no secret is a bit of a low blow and completely unwarranted.

Jan 16th 2007 9:04PM I'm pretty sure the Starbucks call wasn't staged. The Starbucks he called was across from our hotel and when I went in there later in the week to find the girl that answered the phone, no one really knew what the heck I was talking about. It was admittedly a different shift when I was there, but I think it was genuinely off the cuff - planned, yes, but not rehearsed, which is different. I think SJ was just feeling a bit mischievous. What would have been better is if 4000 lattes did appear a few minutes later and were handed out to the audience - like when Oprah gives away cars and iPods ;)
Analysis: Phone Keyboards - Out of the RDF (TUAW.com)
Jan 13th 2007 6:51PM The iPhone is a tempting and sexy beast, but there is a reason why I tote around both a Razr and a Blackberry 8700g. My Razr i a great phone, as I suspect the iPhone will be - and the visual/random access voice mail is an awesome feature that I've been luting after for quite some time. If i ever had to use my Razr for anything more than phone, it would kill me. I barely tolerate the occassional text message I have to read or reply to and I HATE predictive text - it just gets in my way. My Blackberry is a killer email device and the QWERTY keyboard on it is EXACTLY why it's a killer email device. I can't imagine a time that an on-screen hunt-and-peck keyboard will ever be faster (or as fast as) than my Blackberry's real keyboard. I can even type quite a bit with only one hand on my BB and I don't see that every happening with the iPhone. Still - it's sexy and the phone and iPod features make is very attractive. Cingular has no voice+data plan for 3 devices (2 phones + a BB) that comes close to the plan I have with t-mobile for anywhere near the price I pay, however, so unless there are new, more attractive plans, I won't be replacing my Razr with an iPhone anytime soon - and doubt I'll replace my BB with it until it grows a real keyboard.
