Steorn Orbo livestream begins: Look, fairies! (Engadget)

Dec 15th 2009 6:49AM If it's free energy, why would they need a battery? It's just an ultra low friction engine running a couple of days on an AA cell.

Google Phone / Nexus One makes first Twitter appearance? (update: new pics!) (Engadget)

Dec 13th 2009 11:50AM The real news from the photos seems to me that Google employees are playing golf in the boss's time and that they're having caviar for lunch !!

Earnings call takeaway: New products in September (TUAW.com)

Jul 23rd 2008 2:27AM I think they will introduce a next-gen television. A living room large widescreen TV, with built-in storage and internet. You hook it up to your cable and your wifi.

The TV comes with a wireless keyboard. With it, you can engage with other viewers, by means of chat and social networking, discussing the tv content while you watch it, etc.

You can record shows with Tivo-like functionality.

There will also be interactive content, which Apple will deliver with content partners and Apple will provide an SDK, for other partners who wish to develop interactive content.

It also serves as a display for all iTunes content.

iPhone: it is all about the firmware (TUAW.com)

Aug 23rd 2007 6:11PM Apple is not leading the pack here, Nokia and Sony are. Apple requires you to connect to iTunes to do updates, but Nokia can do it over the air. You just click the update button. Same with the PSP.

DVD to iPod minus the aggravation (Download Squad)

Aug 23rd 2007 1:15PM I'm a PC user and have software unimaginatively called DVD-to-iPhone (www.dvdtoiphone.com). It seems to take all DVDs, without problems. Which titles are giving you issues with Handbrake?

Dec 20th 2006 3:05AM Awesome. Love this tool, I'm watching my Reservoir Dogs DVD on my Pearl ! Really simple to use. Can't wait to try this on the 8800 with the bigger screen.

Galileo GPS system hacked at Cornell (Engadget)

Jul 13th 2006 4:51PM Clear case for the DMCA. Circumvention of a copy protective measure. These guys will be sued to hell by the Galileo-investors. If you break the safe in the bank you'll get sued, even if you give away the money to the public. There's no academic purpose to do this.
