Mar 24th 2010 5:50PM The ReadItLater Iphone app is similar and I love it.
Especially since it already leverages my existing ReadItLater bookmarks.
I have just a normal iTouch but since I've cached up around 100 articles in ReadItLater I can sit anywhere and get caught up. Its the primary way i read your site now-a-days.
Lala launches online music store with its head in the clouds (Download Squad)
Oct 21st 2008 10:36AM On the article I read (I forgot which site already), they mentioned that Lala can scan your local MP3s and add those to your Lala web-playable content. That's an interesting way to get you a way to play your music anywhere.
That feature grabbed my eye at least.
Flipping the Linux switch: Forgetful penguins love Tasque (Download Squad)
Apr 29th 2008 7:01AM This fellow has a PPA for Tasque: http://blog.nixternal.com/2008.04.28/tasquerade-party/
A comment also points out the required dependencies.
A PPA (personal package archive) is an auto-compiling service that Canonical provides that compiles the software and creates a DEB file for Ubuntu users.

Apr 23rd 2008 6:56AM I got it working in Ubuntu (Hardy) by installing this Deb file:
http://projects.dvwd.be//index2.php?page=1atatime&id=14
The program crashed until so I added notify-sharp from the PPA here: https://launchpad.net/~banshee-team/+archive (just the libnotify0.4-cil_0.4.0~r2998-1~hardy1_all.deb package)
Then followed the advice here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=474666 to install the libgtk2.0-dev package.
Yeah it sounds complex, but really it was just 2 minutes of Googling, and obviously jumping through these hoops was just a side effect of getting a dev version running.

Jan 5th 2007 6:58AM For Ubuntu folks who don't want to be left out, MP3Gain exists for us.
The Ubuntu blog covers it here: http://ubuntu.wordpress.com/2006/09/11/normalize-the-gain-playback-volume-of-your-mp3s/
And there is a simple GUI that you can grab here: http://www.step.polymtl.ca/~guardia/javamp3gain.php

Nov 6th 2006 9:33PM Does it have a 'backup folder to email' option? zThat would be fantastic.
