Google's poo apparently doesn't smell (Download Squad)

Nov 23rd 2006 7:27PM No such experience here. I've reported a couple of bugs in the past, and almost always got a reply + in certain cases a fix. Actually, Google even fixed stuff I didn't ask them to fix ;-)

Sony DRM troubles keep going (Download Squad)

Nov 16th 2005 10:13AM Those interested in the "Princeton team" ;-) should have a look at this 'Freedom to tinker' entry: http://www.freedom-to-tinker.com/?p=927 In the meantime, Sony apparently has taken its flawed uninstaller offline, announcing it's "working on a new tool to uninstall First4Internet XCP software." Browser tip of the day: Tag your bookmarks (Download Squad)

Jul 30th 2005 11:53AM > First, it would be great if somehow this extension could interface with del.icio.us [...] You might want to have a look at http://delicious.mozdev.org/ for integrating your del.icio.us bookmarks in the Firefox browser.

Browser tip of the day: jot down that info with QuickNote (Download Squad)

Jul 25th 2005 5:54PM A much more powerful extension for saving and managing multiple text clippings within the Firefox sidebar is ScrapBook. See http://amb.vis.ne.jp/mozilla/scrapbook/index.php?lang=en for downloads and more info.

Stitch together photo panoramas with Hugin (Download Squad)

Jul 13th 2005 12:28PM Hugin's stitching capabilities are great, but it isn't too good when it comes to seemless blending - people interested in Hugin might want to try out Enblend (OSS) to do the stitching work instead. More info in my recent Web-Graphics tutorial in which I explain how to install and use Hugin + Enblend. N.B.: As pointed out in the comments of my howto, Autostitch (freeware, Windows only) combines stitching and blending and does an equally outstanding job (with less effort).
