Sep 1st 2005 4:41PM Mikael, addressing your complaint that Linux requires you to use ./make, that's only when compiling your applications from source. There are many different package methods, which install as easily as windows. Be it DPKG(And Apt-get, for Debian based) or RPM(For Redhat, SuSE, etc) or AutoPackage (Available for all distros)

Aug 23rd 2005 1:29PM To number 3, Corporate versions of WinXP do not suffer the "Authentication" upon install, requiring a crack. You still need a serial key however, but they are readily attainable and you can use the same one over and over. You are right about the authentication on Windows Update though, however, you can turn off WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) by simply opening IE6, go to the tools menu, go to addons, and disable Windows Genuine advantage. Enjoy Windows Update.

Jul 13th 2005 12:07AM In order to disable the ads in every IM, go to "edit, settings, ads" And switch it to "show ad in buddy list" and it will only show the ad like regular aim, at the top of your buddy list. So far, I like it.
