Nov 9th 2010 9:41AM Happy to report that this not only works, but after having a very strange random error with my WoW, this method actually repaired it! A "Failed to Download Information" error was causing me all sorts of problems and errors, but after doing these steps, it worked:http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?sid=1&topicId=15110917160&postId=151096177768I posted in that thread, complete with a Blizzard poster, and at no time did he so "Ooooh bad person, you're banned!" or anything. So thank you for the heads up!
Oct 28th 2010 5:55AM Oddly, I've never ever seen the browser choice screen. I've installed XP, Vista and 7 several times over the last year on different computers, and as yet, this elusive beast evades my detection ;)
Aug 26th 2010 8:24AM I had problems with lots of my addons not working when I switched to Beta, but with enough hunting, you can find versions that DO function. Some addons have Beta projects running alongside (FireGestures, for example), and while Greasemonkey isn't working, you can get a beta-compatible version at Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=581724#c10 Works like a charm for me :)There's also a setting you can add to the about:config to force some addons to work, found on MyDigitalLife:http://www.mydigitallife.info/2010/07/14/how-to-install-or-force-enable-incompatible-add-ons-in-firefox-4-beta/Doesn't magically make ALL the addons work, but it got a few going for me :)
Aug 23rd 2010 6:16AM Might I also recommend UnF*ck Facebook: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/11992Updated regularly and works like a charm :)
