Google buys mobile game dev SocialDeck (Download Squad)
Aug 30th 2010 5:41PM Microsoft envy is hitting google pretty hard. they can keep buying small time crap companies, nothing will rival Microsoft's first party studio with multi-billion dollar franchises like Halo.The company claims it "enables simultaneous game play across multiple mobile devices and social networks."In essence, it sounds like Google is extremely jealous of Microsoft's gaming power. SocialDeck's tech sounds like a poor-mans version of Xbox Live or Bing Games ( http://www.bing.com/games ) , without the good games of course. Sounds riveting and exciting, right? This is what happens when you enter the phone market and Microsoft pulls out xbox Live, and Google is there fiddling their thumbs with nothing to compete against it. Google then panics and goes on a shopping spree in hopes of hacking something together quick. They will end up with a horrid game library, and buggy platform.
