Nov 11th 2010 5:13PM Maybe you are talking about Flash sluggishness? If that, it's fixed in latest nightly so it will be fixed in Beta 8. Browser of my choice is Firefox, it doesn't have to be fastest, it's just that I love it. For me Firefox 4 is kicking the ass! :) Opera and Chrome are good, but I like Firefox and it's perfect for me (it has all I need) so there is no need for other browser. I started with Firefox 2.0, and I will use Firefox forever! ;)
Oct 22nd 2010 12:39PM For those who have been doing their own benchmarks to see if it's really true that Firefox is now faster than Chrome should note that Firefox on SunSpider benchmark performance test shows an irrelevant result. Until Bug 598650 and Bug 599127 is not fixed, we cannot really compare it to other browsers. The Arewefastyet.com uses shell to benchmark, that result is correct. Also, this is not where they end tuning JS, there will be more and more improvements :)@João Pereira, it matches because Firefox 4 has enabled HW acceleration which has performance problems at the moment.

Sep 13th 2010 1:05PM I filled a bug based on this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=595888
Sep 12th 2010 11:27AM FishiIE Tank uses hardware acceleration :)
Sep 12th 2010 11:17AM Well I'm using latest nightly and I have Direct2D and Direct3D 9 enabled, and performance is back to 60fps. But yeah like you said, they still need to fix bugs that are still regressing performance. (before we got higher fps in FIshIE Tank when you go on more than 250 fishes) Btw. JaegerMonkey landed on trunk :)

Aug 20th 2010 9:50PM Sebastian, you forgot to mention that TabCandy (TabSets w/e) is available only in beta 4 and in nightly builds. Beta 4 is planned to be released on monday. Don't forget to mention Direct2D, which is planned for beta 5, and right now Mozilla needs testers in that area. :)
Jul 27th 2010 7:45PM Like I sad. That is not working and it will be in future betas.
Jul 27th 2010 6:15PM You can do it trough update :)Btw: retained layers are bigger thing than App Tabs for me.It improves scrolling on complex websites and fixed backgrounds.
Save your tabs and Panorama tab groups in Firefox 4
