RIAA forks out $64 million to catch music pirates, recovers just $1.3 million in 3 years (Download Squad)

Jul 14th 2010 10:05AM I think that the RIAA's goal is not to recover the money they are spending or even to profit from these lawsuits. Their goal is to deter people from downloading. Has it worked? I'm sure the threat of a lawsuit has influenced what some people do. Has it worked $64 mil worth? Doubt it, but who knows.
