SalesGenie racist super bowl commercial (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)

Feb 4th 2008 6:10PM I was completely appalled by the first ad and I was shocked there was a second one. They are totally racist. Now the fact that the CEO is Indian just tells me he thinks this audience is a bunch of racists. Fox can give GoDaddy trouble approving ads, how did this get through.

I realize it was meant to be funny, and it probably would have been funny to me, except the out of control political correctness in this country is conditioning me to be appalled by it.

And the fact that I initially found it appalling scares me about the state of political correctness in this country and how wrong it is.

Blu-ray early adopters "knew what they were getting into," apparently (Engadget HD)

Jan 14th 2008 11:37PM It makes me wonder about the studios backing a format that started out to screw the early adopters because HD DVD was so far ahead of Blu Ray. I will probably buy an HD DVD player and just buy movies that are HD DVD, everything else I'll just rent and upconvert. Not perfect, but no way will I reward companies that purposely screw their customers to beat the other brand. HD DVD is the superior format any how, the only reasons the crappy studios like it is for the copy protection.

Even if I wanted to go Blu Ray I would still have to wait months for Profile 2.0 players to come out because I am not going to drop $400 on an obsolete model where some new movies might not work. And no its not just the extra features, they are expecting some Profile 2 movies to not play at all on older players.

Sony scores with another crappy format. Cough cough Mini-Disc, UMD, Betamax Cough cough.

Hecklers disrupt Last Call with Carson Daly (AOL TV)

Dec 12th 2007 10:57PM Another fine example of the lack of class the writers have. This goes right along with the writers spoofing the AMPTP website. What a bunch of classless hacks. Daly is trying to keep the other 75 staff members employed so they don't get fired right before Christmas and all these selfish writers can do is attack him and disrupt his show. I now have absolutely NO sympathy for those "writers". Classless human beings.

FileZilla 3.0 released (Download Squad)

Sep 11th 2007 10:18PM Only bad thing is the Site Manager - where your sites are listed is too small.

And I can't figure out how to configure the interface. I don't want the quick connect and few other panes. Can't figure out how to get rid of them in 3.0

Upcoming Netscape changes (Netscape Blog)

Sep 7th 2007 11:03AM Terrible Decision. The "Netscape Portal" is just a cheap rip off of AOL. At least with the social news, there was something there. This is why Netscape is associated with failure.

Michael Bay responds to Paramount's abandonment of Blu-ray: "No Transformers 2 for me!" (Engadget HD)

Aug 21st 2007 11:49AM Yes, he is a hypocrite because he is only slamming Paramount and not the other studios who are just Blu Ray only. I mean he is a just a jerk, Paramount is screwing the fans with one format, so I'll screw them even more by not doing Transformers 2. And again, I don't see him slamming the Mouse House and Sony for being Blu Ray only.

I didn't see him up in arms when they said they are putting out Pirates of the Caribbean on Blu Ray only and not HD DVD. Or when they announced National Treasure to be Blu Ray only? I can't see those great movies in HiDef because I don't want to pay for a HD DVD player and a Blue Ray player.

So he is a big hypocrite.

Michael Bay responds to Paramount's abandonment of Blu-ray: "No Transformers 2 for me!" (Engadget HD)

Aug 21st 2007 11:22AM Bay is a hypocrite, I don't see him slamming the studios that are Blu-Ray only. And that sucks just as much. Studios should support both formats, because it shouldn't be about what format wins, it should be about the consumer. I prefer HD DVD, but I am offended that I am forced into Bly Ray if I want to see Spider-Man or Pirates in HD. Paramount is just trying to put some support behind HD DVD since other studios are choosing sides.

Kevin Smith's New Comedy -- 'Zack and Miri Make a Porno' (Cinematical)

Jun 6th 2007 2:22PM The LA Times was mistaken when they said Rosario Dawson was coming in for Red State. She is actually reading for the role of Miri in the new comedy. On his blog/newsboard Smith has mentioned that was writing the comedy with Dawson in mind for the lead.

Mahalo submitted links... (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)

Jun 5th 2007 4:14PM Jason, what's the proper way to submit links? Mahalo has no option to submit to your general TV section, so I submitted links per show, since I saw a few sites listed as chosen links on different show pages. So my links got banned in some cases and accepted in others. And I used the same format Mahalo guides used for putting sites like TvSquad on multiple show pages - url.com/category/showname. I'm not trying to spam, I would just like my site to be a part of Mahalo. So please clarify for me so my links won't sit in Mahalo banned status.
