The Web According to Ballmer (Download Squad)
Oct 22nd 2006 12:01PM A very insightful interview. Steve Ballmer has expanded my knowledge somewhat. Giving insights on the xBox proved mighty interesting to me. Also Ballmer helped us peek into the minds of corporations. A good read for those interested. But if you're like me, who read it uninterestingly, I was hooked.
Google Mac Downloads (Download Squad)
Oct 22nd 2006 12:00PM At least giving Mac Users the same advantage as PC users have is a good thing. Each have their own pros and cons for sure. But to try and level things out is a good idea. I hope the new Mac team google got will improve its compatibility with each other. More power to google and Mac!
Dell and Intel not getting along, or so it appears (BloggingStocks)
Oct 20th 2006 11:54PM Intel or AMD? Though cheaper, I find that AMD is indeed as capable as intel in delivering the goods. My secondary PC uses an AMD Sempron too, though my main PC has an Intel Core DUo. Although the years in between the two are more or less a year, the AMD still performs great. WHile the intel one performs just a tad higher. Performance for buck goes to AMD. This is great news for consumers and dell as well.
Microsoft Starter Edition hits 1 million units (Download Squad)
Oct 20th 2006 11:52PM This is good news. Especially for developing countries that aim to promote PC use to the masses. A whole lot of people than you would ever imagine know nothing about PC's. So this is a good thing for them. Also, as mentioned, this starter kit is also suitable for moms and other people who do not have the time to learn everything from scratch!
Hack-attack, Dept. of Commerce bars their doors (Download Squad)
Oct 20th 2006 11:50PM Chinese hackers? They're a tough bunch I tell ya. Whether they're pranksters or government spies though, lie the problem. I find it surprising that the Dept of Commerce has admitted to its being hacked. I always thought hackers would get publicized if they were succesful, or if they were crushed totally.
Google Reader gets even better (Download Squad)
Oct 20th 2006 11:49PM And yet another plus for google. I am a fairly decent google user, since I have an acoount there for business. BUt all the while, my home page has been with the other guys. But with these improvements, I think I would be switching permantly now. Google knows how to please, that's for sure.
Google's new focus (Download Squad)
Oct 20th 2006 11:48PM A very good move. Instead of just focusing resources on new features, better give a chunk of their resources into perfecting what they have. New features will pop up anyway, maintenance is key. And if even if Google would ever lag behind the competition, they can always copy that innovation and perfect it. Giving them the upperhand anyway.
PS3's Oblivion will come to Xbox 360 and PC too (Joystiq)
Oct 20th 2006 11:45PM Oblivion on all platforms eh? Hope they make slight differences for each though, just to hear platform owners argue about who has the better version. But can the PS3 handle it? Point: Microsoft. Hope this becomes a trend that catches on, having all games available on all platforms. We still have the right to choose don't we?
Joystiq at Sonic's 15th birthday party (Joystiq)
Oct 20th 2006 11:43PM Is the hedgehog hair growing in new places as hard and stiff and prickly? That would be a problem for ol' blue. But 15 years? Has it been that long already? Makes me feel more mature as I grow old and discover things.
In Social News Banning = Education (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)

Good job! Why can't people just be content with a single account? Do they create multiple ones to cheat? To be someone else? Or just to piss people off? Whatever the reason, multiple accounts are a pain. Let's just stick to one ok?
