Oct 3rd 2008 9:26AM So I've got the TW "Price Lock" which includes cancellation fees to get out of.. Do you think this counts as a material breach of contract (on time warners part).. If so those of us under a price lock contract should beable to get out for free... Because life without Heros on my DVR, well thats just hard to imagine!
Mar 26th 2008 9:47PM Damn, Missed the bet on this one.. I have a 32gb SSD 1.8" IDE drive In my tablet I was planning to transition to this.. but if they went 2.5" SATA then thats right out.. Guess I'll have to wait for the 9" EEE and stick it in there..... That is unless this thing will use a 2.5" IDE drive.. then theirs hope :-P.
Feb 12th 2008 9:02AM Does anyone know if this fix's location services or hybrid view on google maps for 1.1.3 Unlocked phones? Or does this do the same thing as the previous Jailbreak/Activation just in a prettier process?Josh
Nov 19th 2007 11:51AM I'll give you two.* Engineering/IT for refrence material* School where one device an replace N number of 10 lb. books (where N is the number of classes you are overloading your self with this semester).
Nov 19th 2007 11:04AM My real question is what services are ACTUALLY available via EV-DO.. I have hard email and web, but can't get confirmation on that.. If its just access to the kindle store content + wikipedia then its cool but not amazing..
Oct 31st 2007 9:55AM Those numbers don't add up.. According to some estimates (recently released) apple gets upwards of $400/activated phone over the life of the 2 year contact. last time I checked 250,000 * $400 is $100,000,000.00 in lost revenue; Or atleast lost potenial over the next 2 years. I would be intrested in seeing where 4.5m comes from.. Because they spend more than that on their superbowl add for the iphone. Are they downplaying the lose or are they amatorizing it over 2 years based on some average number of "unlocked" phones sold per day.. (time to whip out excel).
Oct 5th 2007 9:48AM Ryan, Submit your work anyways.. even if you don't get a "job" but do get to have some work published its worth the experience.. Not to mention at 17, being published (at all) looks good to collage acceptance boards.. JoshPS: I have no connection what so ever to download squad, its affiliates or its parent company. Just making a suggestion.
Sep 12th 2007 12:10PM I don't think this is as big a "reversal" as the story leads on.. I read this to mean that the API for the Apple Touch Devices (iphone & ipod touch) is still maturing. They are still working out API breaking changes (like adding cut and paste for example). And they aren't tying themselves down to the idea of backwards compatibility.I would put money on that in 18 ~ 24 months (maybe sooner) Apple developers (specifically their software architects) will rubber stamp an API as stable for publication and shortly after that some kind of official SDK will be released. The definitely wouldn't want to do something like that until they were VERY comfortable with the idea of chaining the weight of backwards compatibility onto their development team!
