App Store for Mac highlights two major App Store flaws (

Oct 21st 2010 12:09AM One of the best things about Ubuntu/Debian is the software repository- the idea that you can select an application, and the program will download and install it for you. The Ubuntu software repository is now accepting payments- in a way, this is turning it into an App store. Hopefully, the Mac app store will be like a gui equivalent of apt-get with the ability to purchase things. If applications *have* to be installed through the Mac App Store, I'm ditching OS X :P I don't want to have to jailbreak my computer :P

Readers: How to get satisfaction from Apple support on iPhone 4 issues (

Jul 2nd 2010 6:04PM If there is no restocking fee for the iPhone 4, then what would really send a message to Apple is if people just returned their phones and waited until the problem was fixed to buy it again

If I couldn't use an iPhone... (

Jun 29th 2010 9:15PM In choosing any phone, my take was- first decide what you need, then decide what phone. So I would go, I want
- Phone
- Music
- Video
- Internet
And then decide that in the current market, the iPhone was the best way to satisfy these. If you want either an iPhone or a dumbphone, which clearly do different things, then it is evident that the iPhone is wanted not because of its capabilities but because of its status. Which is, I suppose, why a large proportion of Apple products are sold anyway, so its not really surprising.
