Apr 11th 2011 12:25PM Is rooting the Thunderbolt a very difficult process? I've never rooted before. Is it any harder than navigating your way around Linux using terminal, because even as a Linux noob I found that fairly easy.
Apr 3rd 2011 9:46AM @Chuck Norris You have a bit of a point there, but the first thing most people do when they install an OS is customize every possible aspect of it they can (or at least what they want). That's one of the great things with Windows and Linux, you can customize almost everything with little effort. On a Mac, you are fairly limited unless you want to mess with command lines and do a little basic hacking, but Macs are aimed toward a completely different (more artistic and/or wealthy) demographic, so of course the UI is going to represent that to some extent. On a relative note (and I swear I'm not being snarky or anything), if you like the look of the Mac UI so much, just install the Snow Leopard transformation pack.http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2010/08/16/snow-transformation-pack-makes-your-windows-7-pc-look-like-OS-X-snow-leopard/
Mar 25th 2011 12:11PM Definitely prefer the previous logo. It always makes me think of GLaDOS for some reason.
Mar 11th 2011 1:10PM Charlie Sheen DIES from cardiac arrest and is taken away in an ambulance...yeah, that one is too obvious in my opinion.
Feb 7th 2011 3:10PM @kojo87 Yeah... that gets annoying. Maybe that'll be fixed by Windows 9 or so...
Feb 7th 2011 2:08PM Just a note: At this point in time, web.utorrent.com is down. Because of that, you can't activate the web interface service.
Jan 26th 2011 12:07AM This is terrific! I have Gmail setup as a pinned tab in chrome, so before this there was only two ways to see if I had any messages: Open the tab, or hover over it until the dialog box appeared. It's nice to know I can actually see if I have any mail just by taking a glance at the tab now.
Jan 11th 2011 1:18AM I came so close to saying something to the effect of " Tip? EVERYONE knows that!", then my brother called me and asked how to underline text, and at that point I found out he had no idea how to italicize or bold either. In a sense, his call sorta stopped me from accidentally being a bit of a douche so keep the tips comin, and I'll think longer before I post a comment. LOL.
Dec 16th 2010 4:10PM @King Antonius I retract parts of my comment. Using the latest version now and it's definitely not bad. I don't see it replacing Chrome and Opera, but it has definitely improved by leaps and bounds since the last time I played with it.
Dec 16th 2010 4:05PM @Lee Mathews They must have changed it then. Last time I downloaded it (about 6 months ago) it was IE based (maybe with webkit integrated?). Either way I've had nothing but bad luck with it on the desktop. I wish it luck on the Android platform though.
