Holiday weekend giveaway: Type Drawing for iPad (TUAW.com)

May 30th 2010 5:22PM Sounds like a sweet app.

European iPads starting to arrive early (TUAW.com)

May 27th 2010 10:55PM When I ordered my camera connector kit, the estimated ship date was over 1.5 months later. The local apple store didn't even have a place to display them they are so scarce. Not that it matters, getting a 3G iPad is proving to be virtually impossible, so I have nothing to hook it up to.

Rumor: Mac OS X 10.6 to debut at WWDC 08? (TUAW.com)

Jun 4th 2008 1:34PM Cougar makes sense if they get rid of universal apps. OSX is a mature operating system (not in a bad way, just that it has been around for a while and is "experienced") and it would suddenly be interested in only young machines.

USB AutoRunner launches apps or documents when you plug in a flash drive (Download Squad)

May 7th 2008 1:40PM If it works, this is great. I tried to get Portable Firefox to open a webpage I had saved on a USB drive once for memory sticks we were giving away at a tradeshow booth. This tool would have made it much easier.

Apr 21st 2008 12:13PM Jethran,

You might check out clonezilla. While Their website doesn't go into it, a quick google search finds several people who get versions to work on the mac. Might be worth a look at least.

Create easy to remember, hard to guess passwords with Password Bird (Download Squad)

Apr 11th 2008 3:00PM If you gave me those words, I would tell you that "Simon Loves Technology!" is a better choice, both in security and in terms of remembering. Long live passphrases!

New York 2008: Motive Industries' muscular X Prize entry vehicle needs a name (Autoblog Green)

Mar 24th 2008 3:12PM It is vaguely reminiscent of a smart roadster, except hit with the ugly stick several times. Sad.

iPhone developer rejection letter mass mailing (TUAW.com)

Mar 14th 2008 2:19PM Who edited this letter?

"As this time, the iPhone Developer Program is available to a limited number of developers and we plan to expand during the beta period."

should read

At this time, the iPhone Developer Program is available to only a limited number of developers but we plan to expand during the beta period.

The "but" could also have been replaced with a "though"

Not that I really like being the grammar-nazi, but this seems like a pretty major error for a corporate mailing.

TSA explains MacBook Air grounding: just doing its job (Engadget)

Mar 13th 2008 11:58AM It has a big apple on the lid. How hard would it be for them to go to the Apple website and see if this was legit? Even if you aren't up on the latest tech, you should still be able to find it on the intertubes.
