Sep 27th 2007 1:30PM The article omits that you MUST wrap the AA batteries with some sort of insulating tape like electrical tape before use. The fancy label on commercial batteries is more than just decoration, it keeps the battery from shorting out by minimizing the contact pads to the top and bottom only.
