Balance is a challenging mouse-based physics game (Download Squad)

Mar 11th 2011 2:26AM This game was really annoying, but it could be easily improved. If the "dot" you push it with was only active when the mouse button is clicked, it would make this game playable. Interface fail.

Access files on your Android via Wi-Fi with Samba Filesharing (Download Squad)

Jan 31st 2011 3:56PM Very useful indeed. It means I will probably never again use bluetooth to transfer files. This method gives a lot more freedom as well.

LauncherPro for Android hands-on: it works, but it won't wow you (Download Squad)

Jan 17th 2011 4:19PM Launcher fanboyism. Who knew?

Feign 2 is an eerie, artsy first-person maze game -- Time-Waster (Download Squad)

Oct 27th 2010 6:10PM Unfortunately, the game starts with a lie. The only way to win is to NOT collect the bodies as you see them. Pass by the first eight. If you collect even one, the game is not winnable.

The Deeplight Expedition is a fun, retro platformer - Time-Waster (Download Squad)

Sep 23rd 2010 5:11AM I found the opposite to be true. I wanted to like this game, but the fact that the character was so unresponsive and the controls were so sloppy made it unplayable. Jumps were very sloppy, too. They were also inconsistent in that the same jump would have different results each time.

Windows Anytime Upgrade offer ends this Saturday (Engadget)

Jun 30th 2010 3:39PM That's not really "anytime" then, is it?

Time names Engadget one of the best blogs of 2010 (Engadget)

Jun 28th 2010 9:03PM It's nice that you get some publicity, but I can't take any list seriously that has the word "best" in its description and includes Perez Hilton.

Porn sites will finally get .XXX domain, says ICANN (Download Squad)

Jun 25th 2010 3:12PM It should have been done this way from the beginning. It makes filtering easier for both those who want porn and those who want to avoid it. For example, breasts.com can have medical information, and breasts.xxx can have lascivious pictures of boobies. Seems like win-win to me. I would hope that vox populi alone could drive almost all of the porn sites to .xxx,

California considers electronic ads on license plates, we consider never moving there (Engadget)

Jun 21st 2010 10:52PM For me to give this idea even the most trivial of considerations, my vehicle registration for having this on my car would have to be free. Even then, it's highly unlikely I'd go for it. It would have to serve some secondary function beneficial to me, such as having a built-in back-up sensor or camera, AND I would have to get some of the time on it to add my own messages (legitimately). It has to emit no light when the engine is off. Then, maybe.
