Apr 21st 2011 2:54PM yeah i didn't say i didn't use one, just not as convenient as swapping out. they add 2" to your phone in your pocket, sitting down with that on was never an option... and the kensington one i had maybe added 40% vs a full second battery

Apr 21st 2011 1:31PM I picked up an HTC Incredible from eBay and immediately rooted and put Cyanogen 7 on it. It's fast. I've been getting through the day on one battery which is a big change over my OG Droid. That's one thing I would miss if I went back to iPhone, being able to have a spare battery.

Apr 21st 2011 12:00PM I'm an Android fan and my contract was up w/ Verizon, but I chose to use my upgrade to get my wife an iPhone 4. The Thunderbolt has a ton of issues and wasn't the "right" phone to upgrade to even though I've been waiting since December.

I'm not sure if this is a common position, but since she's not very tech-savvy and the rumors indicate no summer iPhone 5 launch it was the best choice.

I also know a lot of other Android users who are waiting for something compelling from Verizon, but the well has been dry and they're considering iPhone 4. I suspect this was the idea, to push iPhone sales?
