Next OS X update blocks unsigned apps by default, unless security adjusted [update] (Joystiq)

The way he said it implied that it is unchangeable, and he did nothing to say that it can be changed or even mentioned the three settings it has.
Next OS X update blocks unsigned apps by default, unless security adjusted [update] (Joystiq)
Feb 16th 2012 8:09PM Gatekeeper has three settings, which correlate to how much security you want. One is no restrictions, two is only signed apps and three is only app store apps.
Next OS X update blocks unsigned apps by default, unless security adjusted [update] (Joystiq)
Feb 16th 2012 8:08PM Dear dumbass,
Check your facts. Gatekeeper will have three levels of security:
1. Do whatever you want
2. Only signed apps
3. Only Mac App store apps
Might be wrong on the second one, but your article says out of the box it smacks a banhammer on everything that isn't signed and is false.
Leak Alert: Gears of War 3 emerges on torrent sites [Updated] (Joystiq)
Jul 2nd 2011 7:42PM This almost certainly was leaked by someone in the company (how else)? Just like Crysis 2, I wonder how many people will blame pirates instead of the company asshole.

You might want to say Trine's editor is for Windows users only. I have a Mac so I only see the Jack Claw editor.

"Cyberspace Protection" bill approved by Senate committee, no Internet "kill switch" to speak of (Download Squad)
Jun 26th 2010 12:38PM This is the first step for the government. They always have a small, first step which most people refer to as "getting their foot in the door." Once they pass this, eventually they'll move onto a bill that will allow them to shut down the internet with a killswitch if they want, and included in that bill will probably be one that allows them to block certain webpages from anyone seeing (like in China) and will start nailing torrent sites to death (unless the Anti-Counterfeiting PoS passes first).
And if this does pass, and so does the AC PoS passes they will probably pass the long rumored i-Patriot Act that gives them complete control of the Internet (like Bush passed the PA 1 and 2 destroying America's freedom).
Off Topic:
And now that you mention AT&T was helping Bush spy on everyone's emails (I knew they did weird shit like that but not exactly that) I am NOT getting an iPhone 4 or ever switching to their service.
Twitter rolls out geolocation, and Facebook location sharing is coming (Download Squad)
Mar 10th 2010 8:16AM I don't get it with Facebook. Does this mean we are losing privacy here? What exactly is location sharing?
If someone would KINDLY tell me, it'd be great.
