Does software piracy hurt the open source community? (Download Squad)

Jul 30th 2008 1:28PM If things like open office were to MS Office, as Firefox is to IE then I would download a lot more open source software.

Jun 27th 2008 11:31AM I must admit: It's not a very memorable name.

Pirate Bay gets a new name: Liberty Bay? (Download Squad)

Apr 27th 2008 2:21PM I actually think that GTA IV is so worth the £40 that it costs, that the only people that will bother pirating it will be the real low lives. I can understand people illegally downloading music/movies because there are other ways for the respective IP owners to make money.

Pirating video games, especially one that is going to be as good as GTA is just plain stupid.

GTA IV Poll results: Achievements, DLC put 360 ahead (Joystiq)

HuddleChat: It's like Campfire, but free (Download Squad)

Apr 9th 2008 6:32AM "Hi, a couple of our colleagues wrote Huddle Chat in their spare time as a sample application for other developers to demonstrate the power and flexibility of Google App Engine. We've heard some complaints from the developer community about it and because of that we've decided to take it down. If you'd like to see more sample applications written on Google App Engine please check out our documentation and our App Gallery.

Science says: Game violence makes players relax (Joystiq)

Apr 3rd 2008 7:29AM I would say that this is only true if you are actually winning. Also have you ever played Halo? How can you relax with all those little kids screaming profanities in your ear.

Vista SP1 officially released (Engadget)

Mar 19th 2008 10:38AM Seriously, how hard would it have been for them to release it in English (UK) so that we can have it as well? I mean they don't even bother to translate half of the interface and I doubt that they have modified the keyboard layout in the update.

So I am going to have to wait until at least April to get something that is already out in my language.

Download Squad's Invite-a-palooza: Day 2 (Download Squad)
