gee golly, wish i had 5K for multiple computers but i have to buy a used mac mini and slap a compaq CRT on it to play along.

maybe show a rig of the day for those mac users who make less than 25K a year, like me :(

Seagate downloads Maxtor for $2 billion (Engadget)

Dec 21st 2005 8:50PM Seagate has purchased Maxtor for 2 reasons.

1) to acquire manufacturing facilities rather than wait 18 months to build new

2) to acquire their customer base

Seagate is far ahead of Maxtor in technology, and needs to leverage it's production capacity to squash WD & Toshiba. That's it.

Oct 25th 2005 2:56PM When replying to an email, my signature is placed below the quoted text, rather than below my reply. I have about 200 random email signatures that I love to share, and everytime I send a reply I have to copy the signature from the very bottom and move it up to below my response. I'm pretty sure Mail used to work this way, but somewhere around Panther I think it changed.

Oct 12th 2005 3:29PM umm i don't think the mini has an ir port so's that you can use the remote, which seems to be, ummm important for frontrow to work. maybe there'll be a usb attachment w/remote made available so's that other mac folk can use it too.
