What's all the fuss about Peppermint OS? (Download Squad)

May 17th 2010 6:13PM I just bought another 1.5 TB HDD for $100.
Seriously, when are people going to realize that "cloud" this and "cloud" that are just security risks (cloud storage to be specific). Unless you subscribe to the "I use Facebook, that's cloud computing right?" genre, in which case I'm going to have to ask you to step outside.

Pirate Bay temporarily shuts down to review a new legal challenge (Download Squad)

May 17th 2010 6:05PM As for the servers themselves, their location is still secret, so it's unlikely we'll see The Pirate Bay getting raided again any time soon.

They're hosted in CyberBunker's cold-war era nuclear bunker in the Netherlands, not exactly a secret... At least to the US government since they built it.

Bing says "Hey, we have Twitter search too!" (Download Squad)

Apr 15th 2010 11:50PM That wasnt the point I was trying to make.
My point was that very few people care about "Bing!" and few care about Twitter (less on searching it).

Bing says "Hey, we have Twitter search too!" (Download Squad)

Apr 15th 2010 6:55PM I'll bet the meeting for that feature went something like this:

Guy1: Hey, nobody is using Bing, everyone is still using Google!
Guy2: What could we add to bing that nobody needs or will use?
Guy3: How about a Twitter search?
Guy1: But nobody uses Twitter ether...
Guy2 and Guy3 (Together): EXACTLY!
