Lifestyles of the virtually rich and famous (Download Squad)

Apr 20th 2007 1:30AM Yeah, I was thinking the same thing (not that I'm all that worried about it).

Web 3.0? (Download Squad)

Apr 11th 2007 4:24PM Web 3.0 hasn't been clearly defined yet, but there is a consensus emerging that it will be the "semantic web" that can be understood and interpreted by computers. This site's cute, but it's as revolutionary as Microsoft Bob. =]

Amazing Webpage Emailer - Firefox add-on of the day (Download Squad)

Feb 7th 2007 5:46PM Even lazier, I fell in love with the toread.cc service. AWE is annoying because it makes me fill out too much information. Sign up with Toread and you'll get a custom bookmarklet...click it when you want "to read" something later, and it'll wait in your inbox. Since I'm the kind of person who likes to keep 50 tabs open (I shouldn't, I know), AND I use thunderbird to keep track of all my RSS feeds anyway, this service was perfect! Unfortunately, it is completely unreliable, and therefore useless.

Here's to hoping someone else will create similar applications as well.

Get the perfect poster with Wallhogs (Download Squad)

Feb 4th 2007 2:28PM The site doesn't even have photos of real life installations. The Examples/Uses page is all very obviously photoshopped.

Wallhog does have good prices on large format vinyl printing (lots of places will charge that much for a sheet of solid colored vinyl alone), so this is certainly a service to watch. Hopefully soon they add a few more images so people at least better know what to expect.

Spyder - Offline MySpace client for Mac OS X (Download Squad)

Jan 23rd 2007 7:23PM Other tools have been built before to integrate with Myspace like this...I remember trying a crossposting wordpress plugin...but as far as I know no project has ever been willing to keep up with Myspace's changes for very long. It is possible that Spyder's author came up with a method reliable enough to go commercial, but I still wouldn't expect it to be consistently stable (without even factoring in the inherent instability when interfacing with Myspace directly).

The best of the feed readers (Download Squad)

Jun 10th 2006 3:16AM I'm an awfully big fan of http://forumzilla.mozdev.org/ m'self.

Fold - Another Web Desktop (Download Squad)

May 11th 2006 12:52AM I'm really going nuts integrating widgets from other sites. I have a tendency to keep a million different tabs open, and Fold helps me combine at least a few of them. I'm always on the lookout for new web applications, so I think I can say with some certainty to expect lots of user-submitted content to the developer's blog.

To-do list web app round-up (Download Squad)

May 9th 2006 9:45AM I really like backpackit, but it may be a little bit out of the scope of this roundup since it does more than just a simple to-do list.

(I can't believe I actually typed that in public)

Palm set to announce Treo 700p for Sprint on May 15th (Engadget)

Apr 6th 2006 8:31PM #27:

If that were true, we should also expect to see the 700l released Real Soon Now(http://www.palm.com/us/products/smartphones/treo700l), and perhaps the crowd-pleasing 700pwl (http://www.palm.com/us/products/smartphones/treo700pwl) will actually one day reach fruition, too!
