What will The West Wing do now? (AOL TV)

Dec 21st 2005 11:51PM First, allow me, as a huge WW fan, salute Mr. John Spencer. There are no words to describe the contribution he made to TWW and he will be sorely missed.

Unfortunately, Leo must be written out of the script, and I don't think that there's any way to do that without a death. Retirement or quitting would require press conferences etc. His death (on the show) could be used as a tribute in the form of a funeral service with cast members delivering eulogies. This would undoubtedly be an emotional special ep. (Think Two Cathedrals, just real)

In terms of the replacement VP, I agree with the Toby OB and Dorv: Staffers to not become politicians. At least not over night. How could Josh, or Sam or even CJ for that matter, each of whom has crossed members on both sides of the aisle numerous times, hope to accomplish anything as a member of the executive branch? Let alone the fact that they are too young, and (besides for their supposed fan clubs made up of mostly college aged girls) unknown.
A good choice? I think that the Sec. of State that they wanted after the whole Zoey gets kidnapped ordeal would be a good choice. (That was my first reaction also, Dorv)

Hoynes or Bingo Bob might be possibilities, but their egos are way too fragile to allow for such a thing.

Obviously, a new character could be introduced, but that might be hard to pull off.

Is there any rule that says there must be a vice presidential candidate? Maybe let Santos run without one, then if he wins he has time to pick one...

Anyway, it'll be interesting to watch how the writes deal with this one. (Hopefully they've learnt their lessons since the beginning of Season 5.) But I'm sure they're kicking themselves that they killed off Fitz.

Watercooler Talk: What's your favorite era of SNL? (AOL TV)

Nov 13th 2005 12:45AM I'm gonna have to go with either Carvey////Myers or Oteri/Ferrel. Both of those casts produced solid shows week after week with few downers.

Apple Store, I can't resist you (TUAW.com)

Oct 22nd 2005 8:16PM I get depressed every time I go to an Apple Store (which is quite often...) So much I love, so little I can buy :-( But it is nice to just play around with the stuff. I was just in one in the Westchester Mall on Thursday to check out the new iPods and iMacs...SWEEEEET!!!
