VirtueDesktops - Virtual desktop switching for you Mac (Download Squad)

Aug 6th 2007 5:09PM I was using it for a while... I loved the functionality it gave me though it wasn't quite stable. Unfortunately, its developer (Tony Arnold) has given up working on it.

Tea, in three seconds? (Slashfood)

Jun 14th 2007 2:01PM Tea bags aside, many teas are best made using water around 180 degrees rather than boiling.

16 packets of sugar a day can't be good for me (Slashfood)

Jan 25th 2007 4:05PM I don't know what kind of tea you drink, but it's possible that with better tea you might enjoy the tea without milk or sugar. If you're drinking Lipton, you can definitely do better :-) A good looseleaf, single estate Darjeeling or Ceylon has wonderful flavor and doesn't need any adulteration.

Check out Imperial Tea Court - http://www.imperialtea.com/ - or Todd & Holland - http://www.todd-holland.com/ - for some great tea (I'm not associated with either of them, just a customer). Unfortunately, it's more expensive and takes a bit longer to prepare but it's well worthwhile and a little goes a long way.

Jan 21st 2007 6:44PM It appears that what they mean by ".Mac syncing" is that it can publish blogs to .Mac... not quite what I'd call "syncing". If it included an iSync plugin that allowed it to synchronize its state between instances via .Mac, that's what I'd call .Mac syncing.

Macworld 2007 Keynote Liveblog (TUAW.com)

Jan 9th 2007 2:26PM The keynote didn' t mention this, but Apple has updated the Airport Extreme - the new model is $179, ships in February, supports 802.11n, can share hard drives as well as printers, and has three extra ethernet ports. It's the footprint of the Apple TV.
