Jul 20th 2010 3:21PM Ah, I get it: leGitimate competition? Good one! LMAO But seriously. It's about time. Lenovo makes good stuff. I'm looking forward to it.
Jun 24th 2010 9:58PM Doctor! Doctor! It drops calls when I do that!Well, don't do that!
May 27th 2010 11:26AM Wouldn't this pose some potent security risks? Already logged-in to one or more websites?
May 5th 2010 5:31PM I'm glad I "opted out" of FB a week and a half ago. I'm still getting prompted for FB links here and there over the web, even though I tried to delete them all. FB has deep tendrils and buries itself into ones web connections like AOL and Norton bury themselves into a Windows system. FB is a LEECH. The last thing one would want to do is make it a "home page".
May 5th 2010 11:01AM iWish AAPL would chill out and not worry about monitoring the content of the rest of the world. They could iGnore the world's content, and the world could iGnore AAPL's, and lots of folks might be a little less tense.But...whatever. No need to apologize to AAPL or SJ, iThink.
Apr 20th 2010 1:04PM All I can say is ...Dang! We were hoping for a little travel device like this that (maybe?) wouldn't have just one source for apps. Maybe, someday.
Apr 5th 2010 8:04PM @MadSkillz I suppose that is the type of uncensorship you enjoy. By lack of censorship, I referred to AAPL's censoring of apps. Sorry to have confused you. I guess you hadn't read up on the HP Slate, either. Enjoy your link!
Apr 5th 2010 2:59PM Ditt o@maati ... SD slot, USB, camera, and NO CENSORSHIP!!! I repeat NO CENSORSHIP ...and flash (well, okay). AAPL you better peench and pucker yer leedle buns together and come out with a better competition toot sweet or HP's gonna send the iPad down in flames, a faint and distant memory
Mar 29th 2010 7:20PM @HerbieDerb Yep, I hear the commercial now: "Had a girlfriend there. Nothin' came of it."
Mar 14th 2010 6:27PM We're fully comfortable with the policy as stated but for one thing, which is due entirely to our ignorance, no doubt. For our very simple needs, I'd thought of the iPad as a *replacement* for a laptop, not a *supplement* - imagine that! So, we wouldn't have a laptop with iTunes sitting around, to sync/backup personal data. It'd surely be nice to have a *different* way to backup personal data (e.g. use the adapter to go to a thumb drive). But, from what you're all saying (if iTunes sync is *the* way to make an iPad backup, and thus a laptop-joined-at-the-hip will *always* be required), then I think iPads are not in our future.
