Get Opera-like Speed Dial in Firefox (Download Squad)

May 14th 2007 11:06PM Opera's a good browser, but lacks the functionality of Firefox. I've used them both for quite a while, and I dislike that tabs are above the address bar and you can't move them down. At least you couldn't with 9.0, the last version I tried. Also, there's a lot of features built into Opera that I don't want and won't use, but Firefox keeps most of that to a minimum and encourages extensions to be used for them instead, thus letting the user chose what functions they want and what they don't so they don't waste precious memory on wasted things. I play video games quite a bit, and I've noticed Opera gives me a LOT more lag than Firefox when I keep it open in the background.

Sep 30th 2006 3:37PM the program works much better on linux and windows than it does mac, currently. they did rip the main design off of itunes, but the main itunes design is essentially one of the best designs there are. it's simple, clean, intuitive, so why would you bother changing something that has no problems? also, this is a beta .2, not a beta 1.0 or something of the sort. it's still in very early production, so things not working are to be expected. you also might want to retry the install, as the laid-back company forgot to update the mac ppc version. it's now updated and all, so check it out.
