Nov 30th 2006 8:09AM As an update to my situation from yesterday, I now have one webcast shown as "completed" with two more pending. The one shown as completed is one I had to download and watch offline (due to my company's network settings, I guess). That's good news to me.

Nov 29th 2006 8:36AM Seems legit to me. I was able to register, but I'm having trouble with viewing the webcasts / labs on the MS website. I had to download the webcast and watch/listen to it offline, and I'm not sure how MS will know I've listened to it. When I went back to my PowerTogether page, it shows the status of that webcast as "Pending".

Oct 11th 2006 2:17PM ??? Just so no one thinks I'm an idiot and I'm debating myself, my above comment (which is currently listed as the second comment, is in reference to Adam W's comment (which is now the third comment in the list...) I'm not sure how the comments got sorted wrong, since the timestamps look correct.

Umm... I wouldn't say you got burned by MS, you burned yourself. You assumed that Powerpoint 2003 would have built-in functionality for 2007. Software is (almost) never forward-compatible. You also assumed that your school would have a 2007 patch installed on their machines. That doesn't seem very realistic.
I don't mean to sound harsh, and I understand it sucks to get docked on your assignment, but don't blame others for your wrong assumptions... Even if it is microsoft.

Vista Transformation Pack: Vista-ize your XP (Download Squad)
Sep 25th 2006 1:12PM Darn. I installed it here on my machine at work, but I don't think it worked properly. Other than some icons changing (my documents, my computer, show desktop) and the Glass2k (transparency) program running, nothing changed. I did catch some bugs (when I clicked on a folder in Windows Explorer, nothing would happen). I bet my company has admin stuff running that prevented the program from installing correctly. I may try it at home, because the screenshots really do look awesome.
But I was sweating bullets during the install process.
