Firefox 4 Friday: 25 million downloads, anti-aliasing, and how to make it look like Firefox 3 (Download Squad)
Mar 25th 2011 7:23PM If you've decided to embrace the new Firefox button (after changing its hideous orange color and location), you can customize it's contents fairly extensively with the Personal Menu addon (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/personal-menu/). And I like the Smart Google Subscriber Greasemonkey script. It adds a small icon in the upper-right of the screen that turns 3 different colors to let you know if there is an RSS feed on the current page, if you've already subscribe to that page's feed, and if there is no feed for a given page, it allows you to still set up a feed using Diffbot.
How does Windows Live Sync stack up to DropBox? (Download Squad)
Jun 17th 2010 7:26PM I installed Live Sync to take it for a spin. I really like the added flexibility to sync any folder on pc-1 to any folder on pc-2, the peer-to-peer sync, and the remote access. But one deal breaker for me with Live Sync is that synced files are not available on the website as they are on Dropbox. This feature of Dropbox makes my synced files available from anywhere. Maybe they will change this in a future release but for now, I will stick with Dropbox.
Firefox Friday Five: 3.6.4, 4.0, add-ons, tips and how Firefox is still miles ahead of Chrome (Download Squad)
May 28th 2010 1:36PM I am looking forward to taking Firefox beta 4 for a spin but I would really like to hear more about how the new Jetpack component will affect addon functionality. Will there be backward compatibility for addons, allowing a good number of the existing addons to still work, or will addons need to be completely reengineered for Jetpack?

Would you pay to read the New York Times online? (Download Squad)
Jan 20th 2010 4:41PM Nope. And you write "With the Times leading, there's a decent chance that others will follow," but that is assuming that the NYT experiment actually works or fails miserably. IMO, with all the free content online today, I can't imagine it working out.
What apps have changed the way you work this year? (Download Squad)
Dec 31st 2009 8:08PM Definitely Microsoft OneNote (I know, an MS product that doesn't suck in some way and is in fact pretty amazing)!!! It's changed my life and the way I do things. No more post-it notes everywhere. And many welcome, new features in Office 2010 beta.
