Microsoft spokesperson clarifies report of limiting number of WinMo phones (Engadget)

Jan 16th 2009 3:38PM That is my point. Why is MS getting selective when it's the manufactures that should get selective? MS is the one that sucks.

Microsoft spokesperson clarifies report of limiting number of WinMo phones (Engadget)

Jan 16th 2009 3:23PM It's funny that MS is the selective one considering it's WinMo why all of these phones suck. Look at HTC and their TouchFlo 3D interface - great until you actually have to use WinMo.

These partners should be limiting the amount of Windows they use not the other way around.

Sprint "seriously considering" spinning off Nextel (Engadget)

May 5th 2008 4:58PM They'll take the engineers that know anything about sub-second push-to-talk and finally launch the CDMA version. At least by doing that the "merger" wasn't a complete and total cluster-!^@%.

Where is Windows Mobile headed? (Download Squad)

Dec 15th 2007 11:28AM Apple's Garageband lets you create ringtones out of any MP3 for free and then integrates with iTunes to add as a playlist for your iPhone.

Second, WinMo isn't cramped because of small screens. I have the Sprint Mogul (6800). It has a huge screen and the interface still blows.

I shouldn't have to pull out a stylus or use my fingernail to scroll a window. There shouldn't be 10 layers of settings for everything. There shouldn't be three screens of settings either.

The iPhone isn't perfect but it has as close to perfect of a mobile UI that you'll see out there. It'll take Microsoft years to catch up and they still wont get it right.

Dec 14th 2007 6:35PM I have one guess... Its going where the iPhone has been for 6 months?

Just like everything in the last 7 years with Microsoft. They get their ass handed to them in whatever market they are in - then they use their unlimited resources to introduce a product that isn't as good and then subsidize the price with the money they got by illegally leveraging their OS and Office Suite monopolies.

Apple: 1 weekend, 2 million copies of Leopard sold (Download Squad)

Oct 30th 2007 12:47PM I can see why there are so many sales. It's a great OS. Most of the improvements that I use on a daily basis are under the hood.
1. If you disconnect from a network share improperly it doesn't beach ball
2. If a finder window crashes it doesn't bring down your entire system.
3. The system feels faster and more responsive... though I haven't benchmarked.
