Nov 14th 2009 3:00PM One of the aspects of having a driving belt like this or the timing type is to reduce slip as much as possible, which reduces the loss of energy during conversion. I doubt a belt this lose would help the bug do any better.

Oct 16th 2009 2:24PM Yeah but it ain't the same as using a tablet. The pressure difference might seem a bit awkward in actual use. I'm of course imagining what it would be like to move the fingers with some resistance over a surface compared to moving rather freely without touching.

Oct 16th 2009 10:21AM Our fingers have no way of letting the surface know when they're close enough to start detection, much like the tablet where close proximity of the pen allows us to control the cursor without touching. Unless you add some sort mechanism for detecting heat or humidity or any other possible radiation we might emit, I don't think this will go very far.
