May 24th 2011 6:06PM It's an interesting service, but the video seems to make a new social engineering vulnerability apparent. That is, I don't see anything preventing an attacker from doing the same thing Onavo does, minus the app, to trick a user into installing a configuration profile that directs all traffic through the attacker's servers, creating a man-in-the-middle situation. Can anyone more familiar with configuration profiles confirm / deny this? It looks like the app is just a front end to easily direct the user to their personal configuration profile link, and to then monitor/adjust service settings, meaning an attacker could just skip the app piece and direct the user to a web page serving the configuration profile.
Apr 19th 2011 6:15PM I've been trying to find a specific model since launch and haven't been able to. I've called Target a handful of times, but not every day, as it was a pain and I felt like I was wasting their employees' time. I installed the app, entered the info, found the model I wanted, called to confirm, and picked it up all in under an hour. Not bad.

Nov 23rd 2010 3:04PM The big disappointment for me is that the Mac can't be a recipient of an AirPlay stream. I have a Mac mini for an HTPC, and I'd like to be able to send streams from the iPad/iPhone to the TV via the Mac mini. Like the author, I have a much more expensive Apple device in place as a more robust solution, but I can't use it.
Aug 12th 2010 10:18AM Not sure how long they're going to offer it, but they're giving away a 1 year VIP membership with any t-shirt order on their store: http://store.grooveshark.com
Jul 14th 2010 3:51PM Could you please update this article to stop referring to this as FaceTime? This is simply an app that uses the front facing camera. Saying iChatr is a great use of FaceTime is like saying Twitter is a great use of Facebook; they're related but separate things.
May 3rd 2010 3:30PM Why do I keep entering contests to try winning an iPad?
Nov 4th 2009 9:25AM What I really want to see is a Launch Count and a Last Launched date for each app. That'd make it easier to see what I'm actually using and what I'm not.
Oct 14th 2009 6:56PM My advice is to buy from Monoprice.com. It's the best of both worlds: generic and reliable. I've purchased this type of USB power adapters, car chargers, etc, and they've always worked.
