Mar 13th 2011 10:50AM I called the other authorized iPad dealers when I was in line at Best Buy, and they only had models that my husband and I didn't want. He was way ahead of me in line(I had a job interview when he lined up at 3:40), but we both managed to get the models that we wanted size wise, but not color. The line at our Best Buy started around 3 pm, but we are also two hours from the nearest Apple store, and our BB had over 100 iPads in various configurations. They were still getting shipments past 5 pm--the model I got for my husband had been "sold out" for a good ten minutes, and came back into stock when I got to the front of the line with about ten more of the same model.

Feb 3rd 2011 8:52AM I stayed up until 3 am watching TV shows, and had no problem with the preorder process on verizon. I wish I'd known it was $50 cheaper on Apple though, because I paid the full retail price.

Oh well.
