Farewell, Internet (Download Squad)

Apr 12th 2011 9:24PM The following is going to happen to me at least a dozen times over the next several days.

I'm bored, I wonder what Download Squad has posted today.... oh... oh yah....

Farewell, Internet (Download Squad)

Calling Huffington Post Tech a replacement for something like Download Squad is a joke, a bad joke. They have crap content that generally more about the industry than the actual technology. Industry news is boring, which is basically all AOL's blogs have left.

How would you change Barnes & Noble's Nook? (Engadget)

Feb 13th 2010 12:32AM I love my B&N Nook, but its missing a few essential things.
you really really really need to be able to go to a specific page number chapters are not good enough.
The Store needs dynamic categories, with personalized recommendations. I check the store pages a lot, and its always the same 30 books, with one change. Like the top 40 radio station that anyone that actually likes music really hates.
Even the sub categories are very static. I'll have a better time in the Barnes and Noble store when theres less vampire book spam and more quality novels.

WinExt is a powerful alternative to the Windows Taskbar (Download Squad)

Oct 13th 2009 7:21PM This program is effectively dead, hasn't been updated for months, the author said hes no longer interested in updating it. He mentioned making it open source but said organizing the source code so its readable is a problem.

On a side note i wouldn't want to use any task bar for windows unless i could remove(not hide), the crappy default start/task bar.
