Terminally Geeky: use automatic login more securely (TUAW.com)
May 30th 2011 6:18PM I tried to undo this by removing the file from ~/Library/LaunchAgents/ and turning off automatic login. However, the only result is that the computer automatically locks whenever I try to log in... so I have to log in twice! Any suggestions?
'Invisible' touchscreen prototype tested with iPhone (TUAW.com)
May 23rd 2011 10:57PM Am I the only one who thought of the recent 'iPhone 5G S' scam when I saw this?
Another phishing email takes on Apple themes (TUAW.com)
May 23rd 2011 12:15PM Agreed, but it's also possible that they wanted to attract the attention of people who thought it didn't make sense (would therefore be more interested). They might have assumed that an email that's completely 'understandable' wouldn't convince anyone to click on the link, whereas an email that leaves questions unanswered is more likely to gain interest.
That being said, I do think it would make more sense to make a 'realistic' fake.
New phishing email pretends to be from Apple's online store (TUAW.com)
May 19th 2011 9:09AM Interesting... I also used MacHeist in the past and received this email, and while I didn't use a special (dedicated) email address for it, I do think you're right.
Purported 'iPhone 5' case reveals minor changes in next iPhone (TUAW.com)
May 14th 2011 8:00PM Not buying it (no pun intended)... The screen looks incredibly fake (as does the home button), and they can't decide what to call the phone. The actual phone might end up looking vaguely like this, but it definitely won't be the mess in the photos.

May 3rd 2011 11:53PM Anyone know what the teacher/Biology app was?
Designer pitches concept for usable iOS notifications in video (TUAW.com)
May 3rd 2011 5:43PM As Andy said, double-clicking the Home button is reserved for application switching (as well as a few other functions, most notably iPod controls).
However, I think they should make the application-switching bar (at least) two levels high, so that more content will be displayed. After all, it's not like you really need to see what's in the application you're leaving when you're switching between apps or using the iPod controls.

Apr 26th 2011 6:38PM Can we at least wait for the iPhone 5 to come out before we start talking about the iPhone 6?
Dear Aunt TUAW: What is this "Region 4" you speak of? (TUAW.com)
Apr 26th 2011 4:34PM If I want to get around a region lock, it's off to The Pirate Bay. Personally, I find it a bit ironic... The region locks are supposed to help people make more money, but in the end, they just cause even more people to 'steal' the movie.
Tenuous rumor pegs iPad 3 CPU as a dual-core 2GHz part (TUAW.com)
Apr 20th 2011 8:50AM Am I missing something here?
Title: "Tenuous rumor pegs iPad 3 CPU as a dual-core 2GHz part"
Quote: "...planning to release a 2GHz dual-core CPU-equipped smartphone by next year."
When did the iPad become a smartphone?
