Sep 8th 2006 11:59AM I don't know if it's a good strategy, but I usually wait until the fastest models are 10x faster than what I have. I went from a Macintosh SE to a PowerMac 7600/132 to an iMac DV to a G5 tower. Most of our upgrades have been prompted by hardware failures (iMac) or inability to keep up with the latest web browsers.

Mar 2nd 2005 1:36PM Isn't the next ipod supposed to have a usb connector instead of firewire? Maybe they cancelled the dock because they are in the middle of changing connector formats.
