Dec 31st 2009 5:38PM My first computer was a Digital Equipment Corp (DEC) Decmate II with a C/PM co-processor card. Its main use was for word-processing, and it was of great use in setting up my own business on leaving DEC.. it was quickly followed by a Mac Classic, and then a Mac 2se with a colour screen!

How would you change Apple's unibody MacBook? (Engadget)

Dec 12th 2009 2:38AM I would like to see a flowery Macbook colorfully aimed at 12 year old girls - I have two grandchildren who have been putting aside their $150 gifts for ages in order to afford a plain overpriced Macbook.

Come on Apple, think generous for one segment at least! Make it that bit easier for this starter group to get a Macbook quicker...

Oct 7th 2009 10:17AM Yes, mine died too, almost exactly a year after purchase, but it was repaired under warranty. That it failed didn't surprise me, as it ran extremely hot at times.

My Macbook AIR failed after the same length of time.. it ran at absurd CPU % at times, so I expected a problem with it, though not with the iSight. Buy Apple Care by the way!

Dare I say my iMac is still working perfectly after a couple of years..?
