Download Squad Week in Review (Download Squad)
Jun 23rd 2008 10:09AM I updated to Skype 4, and I am missing the minimilism that were in 3. If previous iterations had not existed, I think I would have been quite pleased with 4... but I am wanting my sidebar back so that it takes up less desktop realestate.
Shady business practices work: Apple dramatically increases Safari users (Download Squad)
May 2nd 2008 9:58PM Thanks for writing this article; it reminded me to check for it, and then uninstall it (yet again).
Thanks for the reminder.
PointUI comes to Windows Mobile 2003, VGA devices (Download Squad)
Feb 13th 2008 10:25PM For an alpha, the 2003 install works fairly well on my Axim X30 (624MHz model) - it is not experiencing any real bad symptoms that have irked me much (it *is* alpha remember). I've got to figure out some things with it, but all-in-all this is going to be a must watch product for me - my old Pocket PC's got some new life!
Google homepage is now iGoogle (Download Squad)
May 1st 2007 1:50PM I've noticed first hand what a lot of folks on Digg have already commented on; my personalized page is now borked.
This is just a little warning to anyone that decides to go and check out the newly named iGoogle... for whatever reason, after making 1 change I lost all my tabs and my main tab appears to be something I threw together over a year ago.
Joost 0.9 released with better video and oh yeah, some ads too (Download Squad)
Apr 3rd 2007 9:46AM I'd love an invite.
Common Linux myths dispelled (Download Squad)
Jan 31st 2007 1:35PM Great little post; I'm currently undergoing an Unbuntu re-introduction to Linux (last used Linux with RedHat 5!) - so far I am very pleased! I am impressed with the maturing of Linux over the past few years... I'll not be getting rid of my Windows partition quite yet, but I must say that I am impressed enough to be trying it as my primary non-gaming OS (I know, Linux *can* run games - heheheheh.... baby steps man, baby steps).
Oh, and if you are like me and hope people point out mistakes: "OSX will force you get a Liberal Arts degree and recycle... " is missing a 'to' between 'you' and 'get'. If you don't like people pointing it out, please forgive me. :)
Poser 5 free for download (Download Squad)
Sep 11th 2006 3:00PM I had problems downloading the application too; however, I did manage to download it on Sunday. Since I'd already "ordered" it before the end day on Friday, it was still available for me to download.
If you went through the order process, your download ought to still be available.
