Canon EOS 5D Mark II spotted for sale in the wilds of Shanghai (Engadget)
Nov 23rd 2008 7:22AM Camera Stores typically sell more than one brand of Camera. And as you can see in the picture, they've got Nikon boxes in the background (right hand side)
Just because a Salesperson is wearing a Sony shirt doesn't mean they can't sell you Canon or Nikon gear.
Telstra activates 7.2Mbps HSDPA, users rejoice (Engadget Mobile)
Oct 5th 2007 7:23AM "Users Rejoice" ... not quite.
Check out the plans first, before singing the praises of the network.
It's over USD$100/month for a 1GB data quota (that includes all traffic in both directions). The highest plan is $3GB for about USD$160 per month.
Some competitors in Australia are offering 4GB quotas for about USD$35 (albeit with slightly slower speeds and less coverage outside major cities).
Happy National Tapioca Pudding Day! (Slashfood)
Jul 15th 2007 7:55PM I've never eaten Tapioca (or Sago, as it's called here) that's been made like that.
Our Lemon Sago is a darker thing - not made with milk. It's water based, with treacle (I think), golden syrup, brown sugar and lemon juice + rind. Thats about it.
The tapioca is left to soak (in the water it's cooked in/with) prior to cooking.
When cool, it sets into a dark, but mostly clear jelly.
Vegemite banned in the US? (Slashfood)
Oct 22nd 2006 10:52PM Marmite and Promite have significantly different tastes to Vegemite.
If you're not familiar with Vegemite, you might mistake one for the other - but they're really different.
I love all the stories of unwitting persons (typically American) trying Vegemite, under the mistaken impression that Vegemite was something chocolaty like Nutella. (Hint: Spread it thin, on buttered toast)
Now I've gotta go spread some Vegemite and Butter on Saos.
Secret "Simple Start" Wi-Fi connection? [Update 1] (Joystiq Nintendo)
Sep 11th 2006 1:09AM Has anyone tried it with one of those Linksys routers that have the green "easy setup" buttons on the front? (Newer Model WRT54G, iirc)
i.e you press the "easy setup" button, which unlocks the router security for a moment, while you set it up.
