AutoCAD comes back to the Mac (

Aug 31st 2010 9:07AM This is a larger shift than you think. The world doesn't revolve around the mechanical engineers and solidworks. The is mainly going to benefit the Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, and Architects though.

Jun 7th 2010 5:12PM Pretty sure last year I got a hold of the .ispw file for 3.0 early without a dev account....

Adobe wants Flash on the iPad, but Apple customers don't (Download Squad)

Jan 29th 2010 5:25PM Here's the deal. If Hulu and a few other big players switch their sites over to HTML 5, were talking about the last nail in the coffin. I'm already sick of Hulu not being integrated on my iPhone... Hulu gets pressure and money to keep using Adobe FROM Adobe, but as users start to go elsewhere, Hulu will jump ship its only a matter of time now.

Dear Apple: What we want to see for iPhone 4.0, part 1 (

Jan 10th 2010 10:44PM The problem with this post is that Apple has most likely got 4.0 in the works, and is got it's mind set on what will be included on the next iPhone OS this summer. This kind of post should have been put up right after 3.0 was released last summer.

Ask TUAW: Syncing photos, compressing and transferring large files, virtual printers, and more (

Dec 17th 2009 11:12AM The iPhoto thing could be solved by switching to Picasa and using Picasa Web Albums to sync it across several computers. Google has cheap storage for photos/email now (20gb at $5/yr) so I would jump on that train first.

Snow Leopard: In EULA we trust (

Sep 3rd 2009 9:56AM "....and honestly who reads those things anyway?"

Um, I don't think that would be a valid argument in court. EULA means its the law. You get caught breaking it, you pay for it. I bought a family pack because it was the right thing to do.

But, I do understand what you are saying. Big difference between Apple and Windows is Windows makes its core income from software. Apple makes its core income from hardware.
Of course Apple is going to be less strict than Windows, simply because they assume you are putting it on that MacBook that they sold to you for 30% mark up. Also, there would be some bad publicity for Apple after implementing security on software now. As Apple sells more and more Macs, you could see the cost for OS X (or any future OS) drop significantly in price.
