Jun 29th 2009 4:13PM Like cmorse1052 said. He's been trying to do a modification. He owes $240,000 and the appraisal now came in at $140,000. Thats $100,000 loss of equity at the onset. If he has a negative ARM loan done in 2005-2008, due to reset, there is more loss expected as the difference between an interest only payment and fully amortized payment will be tacked back onto the mortgage. The bank would not want to do a modification as they are in the hole well over $100,000. So they will keep it on their books for now. Government imposed moratorium will keep the foreclosures coming at a stalled rate. BING the word moratorium.

Goes to show that even those in the know invest in entities that are insolvent and suffer the consequences. Hold on Cramer as I doubt you will be seeing any big bank earnings for over a year...maybe more.

Jun 12th 2009 1:38PM The values NOT shown on bank book assets are due to government intervention of MORATORIUM. "BING" moratorium. The majority of the OPTION ARM loans with negative amortization "have been held back" due to this government imposed moratorium. Wachovia, Washington Mutual and ALL financials that have failed thus far were due to these loans and subsequent packaging and offerings. The resets have started but definitely not finished and are dependant on origination date. The amounts on these loans will dwarf the subprime debaucle. And you people are still investing in these DEAD banks?

Jun 12th 2009 9:36AM Microsoft makes and offers their own products. If they comply (which they have) with the EU who allegedly have an issue with the Internet Explorer browser, by eliminating it...that should definitely solve EU's problem. Microsoft should not have to be responsible for packaging browsers that do not belong to them...that is the responsibility of the vendors who are competing for it...If the EU keeps this up, Microsoft should eliminate shipments to them period.

With loans due to reset and come out of Government imposed moratorium (BING the word), I wouldn't be surprised to see loans tripiling in foreclosure well through 2012, and beyond. To know the reset dates and to understand what mortgages are still doing, click on the you tube videos done by mr. mortgage and see what was projected in 2008 for these ARMS. The site will also show all bank implodes as well as economic blogs from Roubini and many others.

Jun 8th 2009 12:39PM Will Tarp paybacks kill the Zombie banks? How stupid is that...a ZOMBIE BANK IS ALREADY DEAD. Wall Street and FED/Government stock market manipulation is getting desperate now to keep the Economy together. Unfortunately, I believe they are already too late. The Government put WACHOVIA and many OPTION ARM banks/lenders into moratorium...BING the word which means those loans that have already started to reset are on the backburner..if released today, the Economy would be BUST as ALL those BANKS would fail! We the people should finally say NO MORE..let the CROOKS in the/BANKS/FED/WALL STREET go down the tubes...ANYTHING has to be better than this.
