Minimize all inactive windows in Windows 7 with a quick keyboard shortcut (Download Squad)

Jan 5th 2011 11:29AM You can also do this minimize-all-windows with Windows + D, which is great 'cause they're near each other on the keyboard, and therefore can be done easily with one hand -- after a while, without looking.

Giveaway: Altaro Oops!Backup is Time Machine for Windows (Download Squad)

Jan 13th 2010 1:55PM I use a Mac at work and a PC at home. The fluidity of Time Machine is one of the few things I miss when I'm home on the PC. I'd like to try out this software.

Sony joins 1,000-hour recording club with IDC-UX300 (Engadget)

Nov 23rd 2009 10:24AM I've used a Sony UX70 for a few years. What's been great about the models since the UX70 is that they're instant-on. The UX70 needs 15 seconds or so when it boots. Great device, though.

No reason for me to upgrade, but the UX70 is still working well. Still, if you're choosing between a used/old UX70-era Sony and one of the new ones, those 15 seconds can be an eternity when you're trying to capture something immediate.

Oct 10th 2009 10:16AM I've read it can USB/Bluetooth connect to a keyboard -- any idea how to port that functionality to another Android device, like, say, a G1 phone?

ASUS Eee PC T91 review (Engadget)

Jul 15th 2009 10:08AM Looks a lot like the Fujitsus that came out about five years ago, and those cost about three times as much. I got a lot of life out of mine, and I'll potentially pick up this ASUS, now that my Fujitsu is on its last legs.

Jun 17th 2009 5:25PM Hoping for some Thunderbird support. Zindus remains, in my experience, a kludgy option.

Android 1.5 update for T-Mobile G1 now rolling out, for real this time (Engadget)

May 28th 2009 7:10PM Yeah, I got my update yesterday morning (May 27), here in San Francisco. Works smoothly. Love the on-screen keyboard, though it doesn't always pop up where it'd be useful. Still awaiting Bluetooth support for external keyboard.
