Jul 20th 2009 3:08AM So is TUAW just an iPhone app blog now? Don't get me wrong, apps are good, the site just feels a little diluted these days. Keep up the great work regardless!
Dawn of War II beta now available to all (Joystiq)
Jan 30th 2009 1:12AM I have about 60 hours clocked since the pre-order beta last week. It was a slightly abrubt learning curve but it's quckly addicting. Really compelling gameplay. They have a lot of work to do, and to be honest they should probably delay it for a month, but the game is incredibly fun. They just have some more backend work regarding the multiplayer netcode and matchmaking.

Dec 2nd 2008 11:09AM mRemote seconded. Please note that mRemote uses putty (included) for it's SSH connections. It looks like VNCScan may have some discovery tools not replicted by mRemote, but any decent admin should know how to port scan.
Sins of a Solar Empire v1.1 available; features AI, graphic, trade upgrades (Joystiq)
Nov 19th 2008 2:54PM Sins has never been about single player campaigns. You can't have both great multiplayer and single player. The SC2 delay/expansion pack announcment proves this. It's a monumental effort to flesh out a story line and balance gameplay. And even then the story is ussually rift with cliches. Besides, most game developers aren't great story tellers or writers. I much rather prefer the developers to continue the fantastic work they have put forth balancing the multiplayer while listening to the community. This to me is what makes Sins so great: the continual developer support of the gameplay long after its initial release. The game is as different now from it's initial release as WoW is.
For great story lines I much prefer to read a book or watch a movie. If you want single player focused gameplay can I suggest an Xbox or maybe Fallout?

DS Daily: How goes the war, soldier? (Joystiq Nintendo)
Jan 28th 2008 1:58AM Great posts, y'all, keep them coming.
Just another "mee too" here.
Multiplayer rocks. It's the golden egg. Only thing that is missing is can't talk shit, oh well.
Most maps are open and playable from the get go. I don't know what people are talking about missing the War Room. The game is more of a strategy platform now, and it's all the better for it.
It's balanced!

Dec 3rd 2007 11:21PM My box is pathetic. You have to sqint to see anything on my 3840x1024 triplehead monitor. Day of Defeat Source can barely muster 100 fps with AA set to x8. Which makes sense considering how slow my overclocked 3ghz Core2Duo is. At the very least please contribute a pennence to the paltry 4GB of RAM at my disposal. And don't even get me started about the snails pace my HDD read/writes with its dedicated 4xSATA RAID5 card. I'm on life support, please help!
