Game Boat 'accessory' ideal for Kinect Adventures, perfect for the reality of your home (Joystiq)
Oct 9th 2010 7:02AM They've clarified that "not supporting seated people thing" You can game while seated if the dev knows how to code for it. They say Forza 3 still works with Kinect like it did when they showed it at E3 two years ago. If we get the ability to play it that way is another story.
Game Boat 'accessory' ideal for Kinect Adventures, perfect for the reality of your home (Joystiq)
Oct 9th 2010 6:59AM Wow, the first accessory for Kinect is a failcraft. This thing is going to get blown up only to sit on the floor and be more of a hazzard when your kids are hoping around like maniacs playing the game which does not require it. How many TV or heads will get broken when people land on the edges and fall out.....
Windows Phone 7 coming to Europe in October, US in November, according to Microsoft COO (video) (Engadget)
Aug 2nd 2010 3:12PM I guess I can wait a couple of weeks and read about the Eurpoean models before they hit the streets here in the US.
The other side of the world is finally getting Zune through this so getting the phones first must be like an apology...
Apple to hold iPhone 4 press conference this Friday (Engadget)
Jul 14th 2010 8:36PM "Thank you all for buying the iPhone 4. Due to a minor problem easily fixed, we're going to actually conduct an out of cycle release. This is the iPhone 4.2! The same magical phone with a new, invisible coating over the problem area along with the code that we should have been using for a long time to display signal strength. Now, you'll be happy to hear that you can have this little slice of perfection for only another $200 when you trade in your flawed device. Yes, the cases on eBay are far cheaper and do the job, but, do you want anthing not made by Apple touching your Apple product? Yea, we didn't think so either. By the way, Steve says it's good so you know you need it. Now back to your lives my flock, I mean, good citizens. We have a world to domainate~ er, change!
Internet Explorer 9 destroys Chrome 6 in HTML5 speed test (video) (Download Squad)
Jun 24th 2010 5:30PM This is great, but, by the time MS gets IE9 out of the door it will be slower than the other guys again. The dev cycle is way too long and they're showing thier hand too early. The masses will say MS is falling behind in innovation again not realizing they already had it but never got it to us.
WRUP: The Halo: Reach beta's final weekend (probably) (Joystiq)
May 15th 2010 1:16PM Reach for the weekend. Then, Alan Wake but I know I'll end up sucked back into MW2 until Reach actually hits the street.
I know one thing, I will absolutely NOT be getting any EA Sports games this year. That garbage they're pulling with the online access code is just greed in my opinion and while I would have bought a copy on launch day as usual, they get none of my $$ this year.
Windows Phone 7 Series won't have copy and paste (Engadget)
Mar 17th 2010 12:06AM I'm still going to buy one but, WHAT?
For years now, the first thing you do after calibrating the screen on a Wnidows Phone is learn how to copy / paste.
Apple took heat for not having it then finally got it in there years after the iPhone launch and now MS takes it away? WHAT?
I use copy and paste A LOT on my phones. This is a disheartening thing. It's not enough to keep me from buying one but it is certainly something that makes me not smile.
Google Apps to stop supporting old browsers (Download Squad)
Jan 30th 2010 6:04AM Micorosft has telling people to not be dumb and upgrade for a long time, this isn't an MS mess. You'll notice that it says: "older browsers that are not supported by their own manufacturers". If MS went out and disabled all IE6 installations, they'd get nailed with all kinds of lawsuits so all they can do is not suport it and hope that those people who still have it will wake up. Unless they're using it to hack, there's no good reason to stick with it. Any apps that require it should have been updated years ago.
Scheduled Zune maintenance could last for up to 24 hours (Engadget)
Jan 24th 2010 8:42PM @jin and guice It's funny, fanboys say that Microsoft should just drop the Zune because it has such low marketshare. In the US, the Zune had close to the same marketshare in the media player market as Apple had in the computer market. (I last saw the stats in November)
Using the fanboy logic, Apple should just drop the computer market since thye have such low marketshare.
I like MS products but I am grateful for what Apple does in the market so I guess I can't be classified as too much of a fanboy. I wouldn't want to see them fold, it would suck for everyone. Maybe if they were to be bought out (Bill Gates could have done it back in the 90s when he saved them) that would be cool, but, they have to exist to force everyone else to keep pushing to stay ahead of or at least keep up with them.
HTC HD2 gets a spec boost for the US (Engadget)
Jan 24th 2010 8:12PM I would love to get one of these but I'm not leaving Sprint until they pry my SERO plan out of my hands. Let's hope it's not an exclusive, at least not for to long (unles there's something better to be announced next month)
