Class-action suit charges Microsoft with fraud (Joystiq)
Jan 26th 2010 2:52PM @YinzJagz (PSN: YinzJagz)
2 Things
1, Get off your soapbox and look at the Facebook page yourself. It has less than this article, with no discussion and the only relevant data being the case filing number and where it was filed.
2. Do you sue your mechanic if the crappy roads you drive on have potholes? Then why sue MS because your internet sucks. If that is really your argument for why this is an acceptable case than I hope and pray you don't have a job in our justice system. MS clearly labels everything you buy on Marketplace as not being refunded, in a huge warning as you go to buy it. You can redownload everything you buy. So your argument is well his internet might suck. And that's MS's fault how exactly? Man should get better ISP or a better plan, not file a lawsuit against MS.

Encrypted Text: Three's a crowd (WoW)

While I somewhat agree with your sentiments, those people also should not be writing a column about a class they don't play, especially with regards to end game (raiding or competitive arena) While I'm sure chase plays a rogue, it is a concern to readers if he doesn't and he's commenting on their role and how to play one.
Blizzard did the wrong thing with Ulduar-10 emblems (WoW)

They are doing exactly what they said they are and as much as I love WI's articles... this is nothing short of QQ.
People in BC were complaining that they didn't see CONTENT. You get to see all the content now as a 10 man raiding guild. And for everyone saying 25man isn't harder just a logistical annoyance, ummmmm... .that's what makes it harder.
We raid 25mans regularly in my guild, as well as 10 man. 10 mans are a breeze, we have the right setup and a group who knows what we're doing cause we do it every week. Our 25man runs are still a challenge cause we can't reliably get the same 25 people together, creating one more person to train, to get up to date with our strats.. etc. Challenge in WOW isn't all from the RNG and scripts the bosses run, but how the players interact and getting everything running like a machine. Sorry to the OP but that's alot easier in 10mans than 25mans.
If you want the content it's there, the gear is all you're being gimped. So stop QQing and if gear is that important join a 25man and deal with it.
Apple's iTunes-iPod lawsuit (Download Squad)
Jan 6th 2007 12:40AM Apple is using DRM.... whoopie. It's nothing new, and it sure doesn't deserve a lawsuit. If you didn't know that your music wouldn't play on your new player, than you didn't do your research that an INFORMED consumer is supposed. It is not the business's respoinsibilty to check that everything you wanted is there, just to tell you what you are buying. I have an iPod and it's integration with iTunes is wonderful. That said I hate the DRM and I wish I could connect other players to my computer and use my LEGAL music with them. However, as long as people buy the stuff, they have no incentive to change. So it's plain and simple. You don't want the iPod/iTunes monopoly.... get the world to stop using them.
The Political Game: Anti-game candidate works the crowd (Joystiq)

This is obviously fake and the fact that you find it so bad makes me question weather or not you are paying attention to what you are reading. Yes it's one sided and grossly misrepresents what would actually happen, but it isn't being portrayed as news, or even to the general public, but being marketed mainly to the joystiq community, or gamers. Besides, if you're going to berate this piece, then what are your opinions of the exact opposite often done by politicians, usually refered to as propoganda? And as for your "witty" comment, no it wasn't, mainly just derrogitory and arrogant of you.
Unfortunaltly I'm not entirely behind this article. As a satire piece being maketed to gamers it's good and humerous. However if anyone would be sending this out as an opinion piece, it grossly misreresents the other side, and IMO doesn't offer a suitable rebuttal, merely a stuttering fool.
