Aug 18th 2009 7:20PM things linux can do for a poor college kid like me:
1. run office(openoffice.org, g docs, zoho) apps so i dont have to buy a desktop computer just to do "homework".
2. video chat using skype without installing no pesky drivers or anything for my webcam.
3. browse the web using a real web brower: opera (firefox is too slugish for me and chrome for linux crashes to much)

its not like every linux distribution in existence has firefox bundled with it.
